Cucamelon Plant – New Member to the ‘Superfood’ Family

Cucamelon plant is probably the cutest and tastiest summer fruit you might actually want to try. Cucamelon, called also a ‘Mexican sour gherkin’or ‘mouse melon’, can be eaten pickled, used in salsa or used on its own. However you want it, it’s absolutely delicious. This type of fruit grows on a thin vine and are surrounded by leaves that resemble ivy leaves  and drop down to the floor when they fully ripe.

It’s an absolute delicacy in Central American, that’s been eaten in the Mexico area for hundreds of years. They come in a size of a grape, and look like mini watermelons and taste like lime.
